Traumatic injuries of the thoracic aorta in peacetime and wartime are accompanied by a high mortality rate of patients. The most frequent localization of damage is the initial segment of the descending aorta, while the most common type of damage is the formation of a pseudoaneurysm. The operation of choice in that case is the installation of a stent graft in the thoracic aorta (TEVAR technique). This article presents a clinical example of timely diagnosis and successful installation of a stent graft in the aorta with the installation of an additional bridge-graft in the left subclavian artery. It has been shown that the success in this case was due to several factors: timely and rapid evacuation of the patient to the specialized care stage, comprehensive follow-up, and the possibility of performing a minimally invasive intervention. It has been noted that a timely performed TEVAR operation for thoracic aortic injury is the key to saving patients’ lives and improving their quality of life.
