Abstract:

To estimate the informative value of hormonal parameters that are risk factors for non-developing pregnancy (NDP), the authors examined 117 pregnant women aged 21 to 41 years, admitted with the signs of threatening miscarriage at 5-6 weeks gestation, including 73 pregnant women with hyperandrogenism, 10 pregnant women with NDP and hyperandrogenism, and 34 ones without hyperandrogenism. The values of β-subunits of chorionic gonadotropin and estradiol/testosterone ratio, which were determined in early pregnancy (6-8 weeks), were found to be of informative value for the prediction and early diagnosis of NDP in patients with established hyperandrogenism.
