The expression of lysyl oxidase (LOX) amino acid was studied by the indirect immunofluorescence technique applying specific polyclonal antibodies to LOX in the endometrial scraping samples from 24 patients with simple or complex glandulocystic endometrial hyperplasia without atypia, 20 women with simple or complex atypical glandulocystic endometrial hyperplasia, and 22 patients without endometrial pathology. No difference was found in the production and accumulation of LOX in simple or complex endometrial hyperplasia without atypia. Significantly high LOX expression was determined in patients with atypical endometrial hyperplasia.
