The authors report the results of the study of 15 patients presenting with arteriovenous malformations (AVM) of the mandible. The patients were examined using ultrasonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and superselectve digital subtraction angiography apart from standard X-ray examination. In addition, embolization of afferent vessels with Onyx 18 was performed that allowed the blood losses to be significantly reduced during surgery. The results of the examination provided a basis for en bloc resection of the mandible, mandibular en bloc resection with osteotomy, and resection of the mandible with exarticulation and its simultaneous osteoplasty with the use of a remodeled replant. Good and satisfactory outcomes of these procedures were documented in all the patients included in the study.
