The voluntary medical insurance guarantees to the owner of the appropriate insurance policy the timely and competent aid based at high-level medical facilities. The state encourages the further development of the voluntary medical insurance system. The insurer carries out quality control of the provided medical services and protects the interests of the patient, if necessary, throughout the entire validity period of the insurance policy. The policy of voluntary medical insurance permits the owner to receive high-quality stomatological treatment. The fraction of the income from voluntary medical insurance in orthopedic stomatology and оrthodontics gained by the Republican stomatologic polyclinic (Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan) has increased in 2010 in comparison with the respective periods of 2009 and 2008. It is expected that the significance of this kind of insurance will further grow in this country.
