The purpose of the literature review is to assess the effectiveness of telemedicine technologies in the rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). At present the participation of patients with CVD in cardiac rehabilitation programs remains extremely low this is associated with a small number of rehabilitation centers, imperfect cardiac rehabilitation programs, the presence of comorbidities in patients, and insufficient motivation to exercise. At the same time, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic the participation of patients in cardiac rehabilitation programs has become even more problematic. The results of the review of domestic and foreign studies showed that in a certain category of cardiac patients the remote telemedicine rehabilitation programs (if properly organized) are not inferior in efficiency and safety to traditional rehabilitation programs conducted on the basis of medical centers and even surpass traditional programs in the number of attended classes. Thus, the use of telemedicine technologies is a good alternative to traditional cardiac rehabilitation carried out on the basis of medical centers, and allows an increase in the number of patients participating in cardiac rehabilitation programs regardless of clinical, geographical, temporal, social and cultural barriers. However, this direction in rehabilitation has a lot of unresolved issues and limitations which makes further research relevant.
