Objective — to evaluate the effectiveness of various sections of prevention of social diseases among young people and, and in accordance with the findings, to create the content of a subject course to train prevention organizers. Material and methods. The study program included a content analysis of legal documents and methodological developments in the prevention of social diseases among young people and a survey of 110 physicians and 118 humanitarian professionals to evaluate the effectiveness of different classes of preventive measures, by using a 5-point scale. Results. The study have shown that the training of the staff in any disease and social policy to counteract risk factors are outside the most effectively implemented sections of prevention (the weighted average scores are 3.2 to 3.5). Conclusion. The Kursk State Medical University implements programs for improving the qualification of physicians and non-medical specialists to study risk factors and evidence-based approaches to implementing policies for their leveling-off at the individual and population levels.
