In connection with the plan of measures to develop interior food aid in the Russian Federation (RF) and with that (a roadmap) for import substitution in agriculture for 2014-2015, which were approved by RF Government Order No. 2028 dated October 11, 2014, the author has put forward proposals to update the dietary intake guidelines meeting the current healthy nutritional requirements approved by RF Ministry of Health and Social Development Order No. 593 dated August 2, 2010. While developing the appropriate proposals, the author analyzed and used the WHO Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases for 2013—2020, the Concept of State Policy in Healthy Nutrition of the Population till 2020, and the Countrywide Strategy for Collaboration of the WHO and the RF Ministry of Health for 2014—2020. The data of the Russian Federal Service of State Statistics, epidemiological findings, and experience in following up and making up regional special-purpose prevention programs were also taken into account.
