Abstract:

OBJECTIVE

To analyze the topographic approach and features of facial soft tissue preparation when entering the deep cellular spaces.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

We prepared 28 unfixed fresh frozen cadaveric materials on both sides of the face with preliminary vascular contrast enhancement by Landolfi with silicone compound. All facial cellular spaces were prepared in layer by layer fashion on both sides. We established their topographic relationships and dangerous nuances of surgical intervention.

RESULTS

We identified the main topographic structures of deep facial plane and their relationships, safe method for deep mobilization of facial tissues. The last one implies safe passage in zygomatic and masticatory space, their connection, mobilization and fixation.

CONCLUSION

This topographic study substantiated safe mobilization of deep tissues and its introduction into widespread clinical practice.
