AIM OF STUDY

Development of a method for filling bone defects in the jaws with a bioengineered structure made of non-woven titanium material with permeable porosity.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Treatment of jaw defects in 31 patients was analyzed.

RESULTS

We were able to form and technologically develop a method for manufacturing an individual jaw implant made of non-woven titanium material with through porosity for the reconstruction of anatomically significant jaw defects. In addition, a method for filling in defects with an individual bioengineered design has been developed. The technology makes it possible to obtain a bioengineered composition with a structure that completely repeats human bone tissue, without taking bone autografts from other areas and, as a result, injuring or reducing the physical characteristics of the bones used for this purpose.

CONCLUSIONS

The proposed technology for obtaining a jaw implant made of non-woven titanium material with through porosity can be used in clinical practice as an alternative when choosing a reconstruction method, as it is simpler and less traumatic.
