Abstract:

The surgical stage of treatment in patients with locally advanced squamous cell tumors of the head and neck makes a major contribution to achieving the best overall survival rates. To date, there is evidence for the role of induction chemotherapy during the first stage of combined treatment for a complete morphopathological response to the overall life expectancy of patients with these diseases. Preoperative drug therapy has been shown to make a positive contribution to the treatment of patients at high risk for distant metastases.
