Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are the most common gastrointestinal mesenchymal neoplasms. The review provides an analysis of the current literature and the authors’ own data, which make it possible to identify patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors, who are indicated to have cytoreductive surgery during targeted therapy.
