At a dermatological appointment, fungal skin lesions are not uncommon. Zooanthroponic dermatomycoses among them account for approximately 15%. Microsporia and trichophytosis are more common in childhood. Zooanthroponic dermatoses are more common in the summer due to increased contact of children with animals in the summer during the holidays. In recent years, there have been some changes in the clinical picture, in particular, the appearance of erased atypical forms. Two clinical cases are presented, patients 16 and 7 years old. They became ill after contact with an infected chinchilla and rabbit. Rashes in the form of inflammatory, itchy elements a few centimeters in diameter, nodules, peeling; efflorescence was located on various parts of the skin: scalp, limbs, trunk. In both cases, dermatomycosis was not recognized at the doctor’s office; patients for a long time mistakenly received treatment for other diseases. Ultimately, they were sent for treatment to the Kolomensky branch of Moscow Scientic and Practical Center of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology, where the diagnosis of trichophytosis was established using mycological and cultural tests, and in one case was confirmed by histological examination. After specific treatment, skin rashes resolved.
