To date, the most effective means of alopecia therapy is considered to be minoxidyl, which has a hypotensive effect and is able to slow down and stop hair loss. The drug strengthens the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This growth factor increases microvascular permeability and promotes mutual adhesion of keratinocytes of the hair follicle, which increases the thickness and strength of hair.
