Among the great number of non-invasive methods of evaluation of the functional parameters of the skin, elasticity can be considered as a parameter, which objectively reflects aging processes. Objective. The study is aimed at investigating age-related characteristics of skin elasticity on the forehead and neck in females with various aging morphotypes. Material and methods. Skin elasticity on the forehead was assessed in 184 females, who were divided to four comparison groups. Group 1 patients were 20 to 30 years old (n=22), group 2 patients — 31 to 40 years (n=62), 3 — 41 to 50 years (n=56), and 4 — 51 to 60 years (n=44). Skin elasticity on the neck was assessed in 162 females, who also comprised four comparison groups, which included 24, 50, 49, and 39 patients, respectively. Skin elasticity was measured using Cutometer MPA 580 instrument («Courage & Khazaka», Germany). Results. In group 2, 3, and 4 patients, R2 elasticity index of the skin on the forehead decreased decade by decade to 91, 94, and 85%, respectively, as compared to an age group of 20—30 years; R5 index (elastic properties of the skin) decreased to 78, 85, and 71%, respectively; R7 index (elasticity) decreased to 47, 51, and 43%, respectively; R4 index («fatigue effect») increased to 128, 144, and 146, respectively; R9 index decreased to 81, 84, and 74, respectively; F1 index worsened to 147, 153, and 147% respectively. The study of neck skin showed that skin stretching index R1 increased to 119, 170, and 193%, respectively; R2 index decreased to 97, 88, and 84%, respectively; R7 index decreased to 66, 58, and 51%, respectively; R4 index increased to 141, 184, and 227%, respectively; R6 index (visco-elastic properties of the skin) increased to 108, 123, and 150%, respectively; F0 index worsened to 143, 157, and 163%, respectively. Conclusion. R2, R4, R5, and R7 indexes are the most informative, when evaluating aging effect on forehead skin elasticity, their values worsen by 15—55%. When evaluating neck skin, R1, R2, R4, R6, and F0 are the most informative parameters, their values worsen by 15—127%.
