Currently, dermatologists use a wide range of chemical peeling agents. However, the search for highly effective drugs, which would provide significant clinical effects without patient rehabilitation period, is still relevant. Objective. The study is aimed at evaluating the efficacy of lactogermanic and azelogermanic peeling agent FEMEGYL with hyaluronic acid designed for correction of age-related skin changes, using a set of objective clinical and instrumental studies. Material and methods. The study involved 51 females (mean age 36 years), who were divided into two groups. Group 1 patients underwent lactogermanic peeling with hyaluronic acid, group 2 patients — azelogermanic peeling with hyaluronic acid once a week for 5 weeks. The efficacy of drug products was evaluated based on a complex research, including measurements of moisture, elasticity, trans-epidermal water loss, pigmentation, erythema, and skin oiliness using Multi Skin Test MC 750 instrument, and a study using skin diagnosis device Reveal (Canfield), which provides a digital image, polarized-light image, RBX-mode image (pigmented and vascular), as well as reconstruction of three-dimensional skin texture. Main results. It was found that lactogermanic and azelogermanic peels with hyaluronic acid effectively act on epidermodermal skin structures. They increase elasticity by stimulating the synthesis of collagen and elastin; reduce the amount of skin pigment by regulating melanin production; reduce erythema by strengthening the walls of dermal vessels; regulate production of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines; have exfoliative effect on the horny layer of the epidermis. Conclusion. Protracted application of FEMEGYL peels can be a highly effective alternative to radical skin rejuvenation techniques.
