Clinical examples of carotid artery restenosis in 9 months and 7 years after carotid endarterectomy with diepoxide-treated xenopericardial patch angioplasty are shown. We reported histological data demonstrating the main reason of restenosis in early and long-term period (progression of atherosclerosis).
