Abstract:

We present successful surgical treatment of a patient with bilateral carotid stenosis and infrarenal aortic occlusion. Considering high risk of intra- and postoperative complications following severe atherosclerotic vascular lesions, we performed simultaneous surgery (right-sided carotid endarterectomy and aortofemoral bypass). This surgical strategy effectively prevented ischemic stroke and progression of lower limb ischemia.
