Abstract:

It was analyzed the results of breast osteosynthesis by means of completely biocompatible plastic ligatures Sternal ZipFix in 320 patients of various cardiac profile after a longitudinal median sternotomy. The technique of application of this type of breast seam is described, assessment of efficiency of plastic ligatures for osteosynthesis is performed. In postoperative period osteosynthesis was completely well-founded in 313 (97.8%) patients, 7 (2.8%) cases required reosteosynthesis of chest bone. In 6 (1.9%) patients diastasis of a breast was accompanied by accession of an infectious component and development of mediastinitis that demanded long multicomponent treatment with the subsequent reosteosynthesis of breast and thoracoplasty by local tissues.
