This article represents a case of treatment of a patient with a mesothelial cyst of the liver hilus. Abdominal cysts are one of the extremely rare surgical conditions. The first complete classification of cysts, based primarily on histological features, was released only in 2000. Mesothelial cysts are much rarer; about 900 cases are presented in literature. Most of such cysts are an accidental finding. As the matter of fact, a small abdominal cyst does not clinically manifest itself but in some cases patients do complain of nonspecific symptoms. The absence of a proper clinical picture and pathognomonic symptoms of disease are a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge for doctors. Treatment options for abdominal cysts are highly variable and depend on the size and location of cysts. These highly unstable features of cysts make this clinical case more interesting to announce.
