Psychoemotional state and sexual function in women with chronic pelvic pain in genital endometriosis. S.S. Korsakov Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry. 2024;(10):5-15

Study included 42 patients operated on laparoscopically for external genital endometriosis of various severity accompanied by persistent chronic pelvic pain and dyspareunia. Patients were divided into two groups. In the 1st group (n=23) patients didn't receive postoperative antihormonal treatment. 19 patients of the 2nd were administered antihormonal medication Diphereline ("Ipsen Pharma Biotech", France) 3,75 mg a day/28 days within 3 months. Sexual function was evaluated due to visual analogue scale and specially designed questionnaire. Authors showed improvement of sexual function in all patients postoperatively. Quality of sex life in patients with Diphereline was higher than without the medication, however the discrepancy wasn't highly reliable.
