Examination of 30 patients with bacterial vaginosis (BV) treated with clindamycin vaginal cream in combination with epigen intim spray (Group 1), 30 women with BV treated with clindamycin vaginal cream in combination with placebo (Group 2), and 30 patients with BV receiving standard therapy with clindamycin vaginal cream only (Group 3) indicated a more rapid disappearance of complaints and clinical manifestations of BV in Group 1 patients. In all the women of this group, the key cells disappeared and lactobacilli appeared in the vaginal contents after therapy, which is indicative of the positive effect of epigen intim spray on vaginal microbiocenosis. The findings give grounds to recommend epigen intim spray to be incorporated into combination treatment regimens for patients with BV.
