RELEVANCE
According to the World Health Organization in 2016, half of the Earth’s population diagnoses oral diseases of 3.6 billion people. Risk factors for diseases of the teeth, gums and periodontium include violation of oral hygiene, unhealthy diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, metabolic and autoimmune diseases violations. Therefore, patients with CAP are at risk of developing these diseases of the oral cavity. A dentist at a clinical appointment often observes the remains of bladder tires on the periphery of erosion. The lack of treatment leads to the progression of the disease and the appearance of extensive painful erosion over the entire surface of the oral mucosa, which impedes food intake, speech, and oral hygiene. Thus, there is a deterioration in dental status and quality of life. The prevalence and intensity of the clinical manifestations of the disease determines the urgency and urgent need for timely diagnosis and assessment of the dental status of patients with a diagnosis of pemphigus vulgaris.
OBJECTIVE
Assessment of dental literacy in patients diagnosed with pemphigus vulgaris.
RESULTS
The survey showed that patients with CAP have a low level of literacy in oral hygiene. Most patients do not conduct regular comprehensive oral hygiene, and also use additional hygiene products only with the development of exacerbations. It is worth noting that the role of the dentist should be reduced not only to the need to identify the localization and prevalence of lesions of the mucous membrane, but also to the need to clarify detailed recommendations on proper nutrition and lifestyle in order to improve the quality of life of this group of patients.
