OBJECTIVE

To study the consistency of the opinions of patients and primary care physicians on possible ways to improve the organization of work of outpatient clinics in Krasnoyarsk.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

In 2019, 1.672 patients who visited outpatient clinics in Krasnoyarsk were interviewed, and 283 primary care physicians working in these medical institutions were surveyed. The collected data were processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 software package.

RESULTS

In order to increase the satisfaction of patients and primary care physicians with outpatient clinic activities, it is essential to find compromises in setting up the physicians’ work schedules. In addition, it is necessary to improve the accessibility of subspecialists, reduce the waiting time to see a doctor, introduce remote communication between doctors and patients, and develop a friendly attitude of healthcare providers toward outpatient clinic patients. It is possible to make outpatient visits more convenient by expanding car parks and establishing on-site cafes.

CONCLUSIONS

The opinions of primary care physicians and patients disagree on most questions on possible ways to improve the work of the city’s outpatient clinics. It is necessary to monitor the opinions of patients and doctors about outpatient clinic work, to look for possible improvements that will make outpatient clinics more attractive.
