The improvement of scientific and methodical approaches to increasing the interaction efficacy of participants of treatment and diagnosis process is currently need for the healthcare system. The work of nursing staff plays an important role in this regard.
OBJECTIVE
To investigate issues of interaction between nursing staff and participants of treatment and diagnosis process.
MATERIAL AND METHODS
The following methods were used in the course of the study: investigation and generalization of experience regarding the professional activity of nursing staff and its interaction with participants of treatment and diagnosis process; sociological; analytical and statistical. The research included nursing staff of medical organizations in Moscow.
RESULTS
The main difficulties, which occurred during interaction between nursing staff and participants of treatment and diagnosis process while performing their employment duties, were noted. Data, characterizing the interaction between nursing staff and participants of treatment and diagnosis process in general and especially with relation to each of the difficult moments, were obtained. Thus, the rate of feedback in a time of interaction with units was high in 83.5% of cases; the readiness of employees to cooperation while active performing of tasks was 79.8%; the information, obtained during patient’s examination, was used fully in the study in 92.7% of cases; medical records, with which was necessity to work, were complete and informative (61.5%); provision of information to nursing staff from other units was on time, without delay (86.2%); the level of interaction with doctor when interpreting the prescriptions was high (83.5%). Some indices of interaction were not high enough. Thus, workers of medical organization were «friendly» when interacting with each other in 42.2% of cases, according to the study data.
CONCLUSION
The main problems, occurred during the performance of employment duties by nursing staff, were analyzed. Obtained results can become the basis for development of scientific methodological approaches to improve the interaction of participants of treatment and diagnosis process, that will contribute to increase of the healthcare quality.
