Abstract:

At steady trend towards an increase in the population life expectancy in the highly developed countries of the world Russia ranks 116th in terms of this indicator. In our country there are differences in life expectancy between urban and rural populations, residents of different regions, men and women. Achieving the citizens’ life expectancy at birth by 2024 up to 78 years and by 2030 up to 80 years will be possible only with the development of Russia according to the high forecast option based on effective management of factors affecting the human body.

OBJECTIVE

To determine the opportunity and order of specialists’ work in the field of health care and public health organization to manage factors affecting the life expectancy.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

To achieve the goal of the study an expert assessment method was used to which the most experienced employees of Sechenov University and practical leaders of Moscow health care were involved.

RESULTS

The factors influencing the life expectancy of citizens which can be most effectively managed by specialists in the field of healthcare and public health include: the quality of medical care, efficiency of health care organizations, the level of morbidity and mortality of the population, availability of medical care for citizens, state policy in the field of demography and health, psychological disposition of citizens for active longevity, observance of a healthy lifestyle by citizens.

CONCLUSION

Organizational measures to increase the life expectancy of the population include: introducing professional standards into the activities of specialists of medical and preventive medical organizations and implementing the goals and objectives of the national projects «Healthcare» and «Demography».
