Abstract The competence of physicians and mid-level medical staff in the prevention of major risk factors (RFs) for noncommunicable diseases (CNCDs) and in the motivation of patients to lead a healthy lifestyle (HLS) is one of the important components of the modern health strategy, considering the preventive aspect as one of the priorities. This involves both raising the level of knowledge of specialists in this area and the skills to apply this knowledge in practice, in particular, increasing the level of patient awareness about RFs for CNCDs. The development of a system to assess the health professionals’ awareness about the prevention of RFs for CNCDs and to apply this knowledge in practical activities is one of the key factors that favor the implementation of policy by the health system for public health promotion.
