Workplace health promotion (WHP) programs by increasing physical activity (PA) levels are one of the most effective health improvement strategies among the able-bodied population. Present-day health promotion practices aimed at increasing PA levels can substantially improve workers’ health indicators. Until very recent times, employers’ capacities to implement WHP programs were limited since the associated expenses have been paid at the expense of the profit of enterprises, negatively affecting the financial and economic indicators of their activities. The package of measures, which has been elaborated by the Government of the Russian Federation, to organize and implement the All-Russian physical education and sports complex «Ready for Labor and Defense» (RLD) and the novel normative legal base established by the order by the Department of Labor of Russia allow enterprises and organizations to lower the tax burden associated with the programs to increase PA levels, which significantly improves prospects for their implementation. The active use of new possibilities related to the introduction of the complex “RLD” in the work collectives is sure to have a positive impact in improving health and forming a healthy lifestyle in the industrial collectives.
