Abstract:

The provision of a combination of comprehensive efforts to eliminate or reduce risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCD) and their determinants with the participation of all branches and sectors of society is embodied in the documents of the 2013 Helsinki Conference on Health Promotion in All Strategies. The interaction of different agencies in preserving and promoting the health of the population in the CIS countries and in combating NCD was discussed at the international roundtable on the Role of Intersectoral Collaboration for NCD prevention and Health Promotion at Country, Regional and Municipal levels, which was held at the National Research Center for Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health of Russia, in May 2015. The materials given by the roundtable participants suggest that the CIS countries have experience in elaborating interdepartmental and intersectoral programs and taking into account the impact of planned measures on human health.
