OBJECTIVE

To determine the possibilities of sonoelastography in the diagnosis of local spread of cervical cancer in the bladder.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

48 women aged 31 to 73 years were examined. The average age was 51.7 years with histologically confirmed cervical cancer of varying degrees of differentiation.

RESULTS

In B-mode, 9 (18.7%) women had changes limited to the cervix. The results of the study are thoroughly described in the text of the article.

CONCLUSIONS

In the course of the study, the following were obtained: Doppler examination of the zone of invasion into the bladder wall showed hypervascularization of the pathological process with low resistance to blood flow. Elastography of deformation is more likely to distinguish pathological tissue from an intact area. The zones of invasion into the surrounding tissues had identical indicators of the stiffness coefficient, as well as the zones of the pathological process in the cervix. In a comparative analysis, the indicators of sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of B-mode and B-mode + SE increased from 89%, 94.9%, 91.4% to 97.5%, 98.7%, 97.9%.
