Pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID) are infections of the upper genital tract occurring predominantly in sexually active young women. This issue is particularly important in adolescent girls, because they form the reproductive potential of the country and of the entire planet. The relevance ofn PID in adolescent girls increases due to the early debut of sexual life, an increase the number of sexual partners, the lack of knowledge about contraceptive methods, an increase the number of abortions. The principal difficulty is that adolescent girls are not able to interpret and characterize pain, feel soreness during gynecological examination, even in the absence of pathological changes. There is also a question of adherence to the treatment of this group due to the incompleteness of awareness of disease’s severity and its consequences. We review of literature sources regarding this group of disease in adolescent girls. The main problematic issues were identified and vectors for continuing work are divided.
