Abstract:

Information about an abundant uterine bleeding and classification of the PALM-COEIN in non-pregnant women of reproductive age are presented. Classification of the PALM-COEIN includes nine major categories of uterine bleeding depending on the etiologic factor. The use of combined oral contraceptive containing estradiol valerate and dienogest is warranted in the COEIN category. The use of combined oral contraceptive with estradiol valerate and dienogest can reduce the amount of menstrual blood loss and the intensity of pain during menstruation. Role of this oral contraceptive is effective to the prevention of recurrent abnormal uterine bleeding and after polypectomy.
