The review of research involves aging ovarian model, the current understanding of folliculogenesis and postnatal oogenesis. Ovarian reduction occurs continuously throughout a woman’s life, but the rate of reduction of ovarian reserve is different in certain periods of life, as evidenced by means of mathematical modeling. As a result, incoordination folliculogenesis disturbed functioning of the reproductive system, leading to the development of gynecological diseases. Physiological functions of follicular development are known, but the mechanisms controlling this process, finally installed. Today the most promising areas of reproductive biology are studying the factors recruitment of primordial follicles and the early stages of follicular growth, when the quality and quantity of female gametes is not predetermined. The basis for the study of such mechanisms are the molecular genetic studies, for example, created a model in experimental animals with targeted impaired alleles. Consequently, it is possible to study the specific molecules involved in folliculogenesis. Many aspects of the interaction of folliculogenesis factors require further research. Questions postnatal oogenesis associated with the presence of germ cells in the postnatal ovary. A promising method of treatment of infertility in nonfunctioning ovaries, based on a detailed study of postnatal oogenesis in the future can be autologous transplantation of stem cells or oogenesis in vitro.
