Objective. To identify the share of "abortive" apoptosis sperm among the total number of apoptotic sperms in the ejaculates of fertile men. Material and methods. The study involved 18 fertile male volunteers aged 22-40 years old. Phosphatidylserine externalization file system (using annexin V-FITC in combination with iodine propidium PI) and the expression of Fas receptor on the spermatozoa by the fluorescence microscopy were used as markers of apoptosis. Results. Frequent ejaculations led to significant decrease of sperm apoptosis level (annexin-V-positive sperms). Conclusion. The sperms can undergo apoptosis due to old age or due to the influence of damaging factors. Frequent sperm ejaculation is possible to identify the rate of "abortive" apoptosis sperm among the total number of apoptotic sperms.
