OBJECTIVE

To describe the original technique of augmentation mastopexy using a double-layered fascial flap (DLFF).

MATERIAL AND METHODS

We retrospectively analyzed 85 patients (mean age 35 years) who underwent surgery between January 2020 and December 2022. The minimum follow-up period was 6 months. Incidence of redo surgeries, complication rate and satisfaction with postoperative outcomes were assessed.

RESULTS

The majority of patients (n=70; 82%) were satisfied with postoperative outcomes. The overall incidence of redo surgeries was 7.2% (n=6). All patients had no complications related to implant dislocation.

CONCLUSION

Original DLFF for augmentation mastopexy is valuable to stabilize the implant and prevent dislocation-related complications (double-bubble and bottoming out). This technique showed high efficiency and stability of postoperative outcomes.
