Abstract:

Venous aneurysms are extremely rare. A case of successful surgical treatment of a patient with a popliteal vein aneurysm complicated by pulmonary embolism is presented. Timely diagnosis and surgical treatment can prevent the development of this deadly complication. Aneurysms of peripheral veins are a rare disease that can be accompanied by a number of complications, the most formidable of which is a pulmonary embolism. A case of successful surgical treatment of a patient with popliteal vein aneurysm complicated by pulmonary embolism is presented in this article.
