Abstract:

The authors consider laparoscopic nephrectomy (LN) that is an alternative to open surgical interventions in patients with locally advanced renal cell carcinomas (RCC) <3-4 cm in diameter. The chief shortcomings of LN are difficulties in creating intraoperative hemostasis and a need for inducing renal tissue ischemia. The intermediate results of applying the new procedure LN using radiofrequency ablation without ischemia in patients with early RCC are given.
