ACTUALIZATION
Cryolipolysis has been successfully used for a number of years for body contouring, but there is insufficient data on its combination with other methods of aesthetic correction.
Goal. Determination of a profile of a patient who is shown to carry out cryolipolysis procedures as the main method or in combination with other methods, assessment of the most effective and safe protocols for combined body shaping.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The data of Russian and foreign authors on the effectiveness of cryolipolysis for the removal of local excess fat deposits, as well as the possibility of combining it with other methods of aesthetic correction, have been analyzed.
RESULTS
Available data indicate that cryolipolysis can be used for body contouring both as monotherapy and in combination with other body shaping methods that enhance the lipolytic effect, improve microcirculation, lymphatic drainage and the condition of muscles and ligaments, and also provide dermal restructuring. Combined correction is indicated in cases of dystrophic changes in the skin and its low resource, pronounced tissue edema, the presence of a metabolic syndrome or hormonal imbalance in the patient. In most patients, cryolipolysis can be used as the first procedure, however, in cases of dystrophic changes in the skin or severe tissue edema, for a better definition of the contours of fat deposits, it is advisable to first use methods that restore skin turgor and lymphatic drainage.
CONCLUSION
Cryolipolysis is an effective and safe procedure used to correct excess body fat. The combination of cryolipolysis with other methods of aesthetic correction can improve the results of contour plasty. To select the optimal set of procedures, it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the patient's history data, the state of turgor of the skin and fat deposits, and also take into account the indications and contraindications for the use of correction methods.
