In this article, we address the issues of legal regulation of accreditation and certification of dermatovenereologists in the Russian Federation. The article covers the problematic aspects related to both reformation and regulation of training system and employers’ unwillingness to send doctors to annual accreditation cycles and proposes methods and solutions. The functions and capabilities of the development of full-time and part-time education systems within the framework of continuing medical education in dermatovenerology are exemplified by the development of the distance learning module Doctor’s School as a part of the Logoderm informational and diagnostic system. This educational resource is available at logoderm.ru and consists of six levels, representing six separate section of dermatology and venereology. The introductory course contains information about the history of the development of Russian dermatology and venereology. Training materials of the following levels of the dermatovenerology school are compiled according to the “from simple to complex” principle and enable mastering the basics of dermatovenerological patient examination at the first level; learning clinical symptoms, recommendations for examination and treatment of the most common dermatovenereological diseases at the second level; solving the presented clinical tasks at the third level; learning how to sample biomaterial, prepare specimens and use microscopic examination when diagnosing contagious skin diseases and sexually transmitted infections at the fourth level; learning the basics of dermatoscopy at the fifth level, and, finally, formation of skills of histological diagnosis at the sixth level.
