Abstract:

Over the past 10—15 years, more than ten blockers of GP IIb/IIIa platelet receptors have been created. Mechanism of their action is blockade of membrane glycoprotein receptors of platelets that leads to suppression of common final pathway of aggregation. GP IIb/IIIa platelet receptor inhibitor eliminated coronary artery thrombosis according to coronary angiography and allowed restoration of coronary blood flow in “no-reflow” phenomenon in 100% of cases. The authors used GP IIb/IIIa inhibitor of platelet receptors for the treatment of acute stent thrombosis with technical impossibility of repeated percutaneous coronary intervention with positive effect.
