Abstract:

We present surgical treatment of true aneurysm of the left subclavian artery in a patient with Marfan syndrome and comorbidities. A 41-year-old patient admitted to the department of vascular surgery with complaints of pulsation in the left supraclavicular region and moderate pain in the left upper limb under physical activity. These symptoms appeared after the Bentall-DeBono procedure in 2015. Examination revealed true aneurysm of subclavian artery 66×50 mm. Indications for surgical treatment were established. The patient underwent resection of aneurysm and subclavian artery replacement by composite prosthesis. Importantly, treatment of this pathology is a technically difficult and labor-intensive process. In this case, surgical treatment of aneurysm through replacement provided adequate postoperative result and minimized the risk of perioperative complications.
