Abstract:

Aim — to study adherence to treatment in patients with stable coronary artery disease after myocardial revascularization. Material and methods. There were 349 patients with stable coronary artery disease (mean age 57.6±7.7 years) who underwent myocardial revascularization for the period December 2011 — December 2014. Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Morisky—Green questionnaire were used in all patients. Results. There was significant correlation of high adherence to therapy with the following factors: age over 65 years (p=0.047), female gender (p=0.035), repeated myocardial revascularization (p=0.031), concomitant diabetes mellitus (p=0.042), no psychosomatic disorders (anxiety/depression) (p=0.029), the use of additional medication (p=0.024), higher education (p=0.033). Conclusion. The data obtained can help cardiologists in the rehabilitation of patients with stable coronary artery disease after myocardial revascularization, formation of adherence to treatment in pre- and postoperative periods, reducing the risk of recurrent coronary events.
