Abstract:

20-year experience of surgical treatment in 214 patients with aortic arch lesions is presented. Comparative data concerning cerebral protection are presented. It is estimated, that antegrade cerebral perfusion under moderate hypothermia with statistically significance decreases the amount of re-sternotomies. Meanwhile difference in frequency of neurologic complications and mortality didn't show any statistical significance. It is drawn a conclusion that antegrade cerebral perfusion is a method of choice for cerebral protection during these operations.
