Abstract:

Micronized purified flavonoid fraction (MPFF) appears to be a perspective drug for the management of venous symptoms after minimally invasive varicose vein surgery.

OBJECTIVE

To evaluate the effect of MPFF on subjective symptoms of chronic venous disease (CVD) after endovenous laser varicose vein surgery and removal of varicose tributaries.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

A multiple-center open-label randomized controlled trial is scheduled. The study was registered in the Register of Chronic Venous Diseases of the Association of Phlebologists (ID RRT_CVD 1.016). The trial was designed in accordance with the CONSORT standards for randomized trials. Study endpoints: total sum score of symptoms (main outcome), score of certain symptoms, number of CVD symptoms in one patient between the 1st and 2nd visits with an interval of 2 weeks after surgery.
