Abstract:

An original trocar with a groove-like guide on the outer side of the cannula is proposed. According to clinical testing it has the following advantages over the current trocars: possibility for precise aponeurosis incision in required direction; simplicity and accessibility for any surgeon; low rate of postoperative complications and ventral hernias. The device may be used in clinical practice for wound enlargement.
