OBJECTIVE

Linguistic adaptation of the Russian version of the Revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Linguistic adaptation included five stages: I) translation from English into Russian by three translators; II) compilation of three translations into one version; III) reverse translation of the combined version by two native English speakers; IV) discussion and comparison of the final version of reverse translation by a committee of experts; V) pilot testing of the Russian version in 40 patients with fibromyalgia.

RESULTS

The adapted Russian version of the FIQR questionnaire did not cause comments from the committee of experts. It was understandable to patients. This version can be used to evaluate psychometric properties of this questionnaire.
