Abstract:

The analysis of the special literature and original clinical-morphological investigations provided the data on the localization and pathology of diffuse axonal injuries to the brain at different stages of the craniocerebral trauma. The role of diffuse axonal injury in the development of life-threatening changes and correlation of their development with the rotational theory of head damage are considered.
