A literature review with the analysis of the results of studies to evaluate the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment in fetal-fetal transfusion syndrome (FFTS) and anemia-polycythemia syndrome (APS) for the last 15 years in PubMed, Scopus and eLibrary databases was conducted. The article presents modern ideas about the pathogenesis of APS and FFTS, explains the differences between them, describes diagnostic methods and current treatment options for these complications of pregnancy. The importance of timely detection and beginning of treatment of patients with APS and FFTS is stressed.
