Thirty female adolescents aged 14 to 17 years with anogenital condylomas were examined and treated to evaluate the efficiency of combination therapy using Wiferon. Its suppositories 500,000 IU were used twice daily for 10 days; its gel was topically applied to the area of condylomas twice and thrice for 30 days in combination, if needed, with antibacterial drugs. Solcovagin was used for chemical destruction of condylomas in 12 patients. Surgical treatment was performed applying radio-wave techniques in 1 case. Combination therapy using Wiferon brought about the disappearance of masses in 40% of the patients and, when combined with destructive techniques, in 93.3%. The proposed therapy is an effective and safe treatment option for female adolescents with anogenital condylomas.
