The author studied the opinion of 200 obstetricians/gynecologists and 300 pregnant women as to the need to improve the quality and efficiency of a follow-up of pregnant women and puerperas. The study used questionnaire survey and social and statistical methods. It was established that it was necessary to do nationwide educational work to mold attitudes to and skills in healthy lifestyle in female adolescents, which will contribute to the maintenance of their reproductive health. It is necessary to single out work with pregnant women, which is aimed at enhancing their personal responsibility for the maintenance of their health and the health of their future child, in the general system of measures to improve the efficiency and quality of a follow-up of pregnant women and puerperas. Such work can be based on public opinion surveys made by an obstetrician/gynecologist among pregnant women. An interaction should be established between antenatal clinics and healthy lifestyle centers. It is necessary to stimulate a physician's interest in improving the quality and efficiency of a follow-up of pregnant women and puerperas.
